Boyden, IA Jeanette Mulder, age 78 of Boyden, IA died Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD, after being diagnosed with bone marrow cancer. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5th at Tabernacle Baptist Church in George with Pastor Bryan Anderson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Sheridan Township Cemetery at Boyden, IA. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 " 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 " 7:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, George, IA. Jeanette Mulder was born to Neal and Jennie Stomberg on March 8, 1933. She grew up on the family farm near Little Rock. Jeanette received Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a young age and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She attended country school until 8th grade and graduated from George High School in 1950. On January 18, 1952 Jeanette married Ken Mulder at Tabernacle Baptist Church. They moved to a tenant house on Kens family farm. She worked at Campbells Soup in Worthington and Priebes in Sibley. Ken and Jeanette moved to Boyden in 1962 where she worked part time at Demco. Jeanettes priority was being around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to spend time at Okoboji with the family. Oma was well known for her delicious Sunday roast beef dinner. Jeanette taught pre-school children in Sunday school for over 50 years. She loved to crochet, sew, and make special blankets for all of the kids. She spent many nights working on word searches or playing Dominoes and Spinner with her close friends. She enjoyed volunteering at Justice For All in Rock Valley, Iowa. Those left to cherish her memories are 2 children, Janelle (Doug) Beukelman, Jerry (Toi) Mulder; 7 grandchildren, Sara (Bob) Kleinwolterink, Ryan (Camilla) Beukelman, Justin (Anna) Beukelman, Megan (Dale) Ricks, Nicole Mulder, Lauren Mulder, Kaitlyn Mulder; 6 great grandchildren, Caden Kleinwolterink, Dyllan Ricks, Kellen Beukelman, Carter Kleinwolterink, Kolden Beukelman, Noah Ricks; sister, Leona Terhark; 3 sisters-in-law, Frances Harms, Emma Jane Reed, Lois Boone; brother-in-law, Marvin Kanengieter; along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. We will cherish her memories forever. Preceded in death by her husband, Ken Mulder; infant son, Larry; parents, Neal and Jennie Stomberg; parents-in-law, George and Jennie Mulder; sister Harriet Wagenaar, brothers-in law Enno Wagenaar and Charles Terhark; sister-in-law, Helene Kanengieter; brothers-in-law, Alvin De Berg, Charles Reed, Johnny Harms.
