George, IA Herman B. Kramer, age 74 of George, IA died Monday, September 16, 2013 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 at First Baptist Church in George, IA with Pastor Steve May officiating. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 18th, 2013 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of George, IA. Herman was born June 19, 1939 to Ben and Etta (Schneiderman) Kramer in Little Rock, IA. He received his education at Little Rock Country School. On December 6, 1957 he was united in marriage to Lorraine Kruger at her parents home near George, IA. To this union eight children were born. The couple made their home in George, IA. Herman spent the majority of his life driving truck. He has logged many millions of miles in his long career. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially sprint car racing. This past Monday, Herman passed away at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 74. He will be greatly missed. Herman is survived by his wife of nearly 56 years, Lorraine Kramer of George, IA; children, Linda (special friend Norm) Peterson of Rock Rapids, IA; Mary Jo (Donald) Winter of Harrisburg, SD; Herman Kramer Junior of Worthington, MN; Corienne (Jay) Scott of Austin, MN; Carol (Michael) Weber of Austin, MN; Gerald Kramer of Allendorf, IA; Rodney (Darcee) Kramer of Sibley, IA; Lee (Korissa) Kramer of Elmore, MN; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Etta Kramer; in-laws, Jennie and Wert Kruger and step-father-in-law Buck Barclay; and grandchildren, Justin Kramer; and Infant twins.
