Hills, MN Beverly A. Wassenaar, age 69 of Hills, MN died Sunday February 2, 2014 at Sanford Hospice Cottage in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 7th at the Reformed Church of Steen in Steen, MN, with Rev. Dan Kuik officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery near Steen, MN. Visitation will be Thursday, February 6th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jurrens Funeral Home of Hills, MN. Beverly Ann Wassenaar was born June 15, 1944 at Hills, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Grace (Bosch) Wassenaar. She grew up in Hills and graduated from Hills High School in 1962. After her education she began working at Farm Service Agency in Luverne, MN until 1999. She then worked at Vision Care Associates in Sioux Falls, SD, until her health began to fail. She was a member of the Reformed Church of Steen, where she was a member of the ladies circle and was a sponsor for the RCYF. She enjoyed bowling and taking stats for the Hills-Beaver Creek Basketball and Volleyball teams. She was an avid sports enthusiast. In 1971 Beverlys only child, Jill was born. She attended all her grandchildrens activities. She is survived by her mother, Grace Wassenaar of Hills, MN; a daughter, Jill (husband, James) Reindl of Sioux Falls, SD; five grandchildren, Braydon, Keaton, Trey, Chance and Kennedy Reindl, all of Sioux Falls, SD; one brother, Gerrit (wife, Bev) Wassenaar of Slayton, MN; four sisters, Gladys (husband, Jake) Schelhaas of Jasper, MN, twin sister Betty (husband, Jerry) Ackerman of Hills, MN, Bonnie (husband, Dave) Shelton of Luverne, MN and Nelva (husband, Ron) Behr of Hills, MN; and several other extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, William Wassenaar.
