Sibley, Iowa Laura Lori OToole, age 38 of Sibley, Iowa died Sunday, August 24, 2008, at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 28th at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Sibley with Fr. John Vakulskas, celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery at Sibley, IA. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 27th from 2:00 " 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 " 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. with a prayer service held at 7:30 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley. Laura Leigh OToole was born on May 28, 1970 in Sibley, the daughter of Donald and Marjorie (Hatting) OToole. She grew up in Sibley and attended school and later graduated in 1988, from the Sibley Ocheyedan High School. She then went on to college at Northwest Iowa Technical College, now known as, Northwest Community College in Sheldon, IA. Lori worked at various place such as Pronto and The Park Store in Sibley and most recently was employed by Sibley Ocheyedan Schools. Lori enjoyed photography, scrapbooking, playing cards and her recent trip with her mom and siblings to Las Vegas. She was an avid bowler and loved motorcycle riding. Most of all she loved attending her sons sporting events and also spending time with her nieces, nephews and friends. Laura is survived by her son, Gregory OToole of Sibley; her mother, Marjorie OToole of Sibley; two sisters, Pam (husband Dave) Braun of Sibley and Colleen (husband Kevin) Trei of George, IA; and one brother, Timothy (wife Michelle) OToole of Willmar, MN; five nieces and nephews, Tom and Dustin Braun, Kimberlee and Christopher Trei and Raegan OToole; and aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her dad, Donald OToole, maternal grandparents, Ben and Margaret E. Hatting and paternal grandparents, Sam and Gladys OToole.
