George, IA Ennola Ennor, age 78 of Parkersburg, IA, formerly of George, IA died Fri., June 22nd, 2012 at Maple Manor Village in Aplington, IA. Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Tues., June 26th, 2012 at Central Baptist Church in George, IA with Rev. Allan Gerber officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Lawn Cemetery in George. Visitation with family present will be Mon. June 25th from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Jurrens Funeral Home in George, IA. Ennola Nonie Ennor was born January 26, 1934 in George, Iowa to Elmer and Virginia (Culver) Klinkenborg. She was raised in George and graduated from George High School. While in school Nonie was involved with sports and music. She played basketball, was Drum Majorette for the band as well as taking part in chorus. On June 20, 1952 she was united in marriage to Martin C. Ennor, Jr. The couple spent their lives living in George and were blessed with 3 children. Ennola worked for the US Postal Service for many years as a rural carrier. She also sold Avon when her family was young. She was active in her church, Ladies Circle, Womens Club, Bridge Club, Otter Valley Golf Club and playing pinochle with family and friends. She enjoyed Tea Time with family and baking and cooking and teaching her family the art of canning. Ennola also loved traveling and had the unforgettable opportunity to travel with friends and family to Israel where they toured all the interesting and Holy sites she had read about in her Bible. For several years, Nonie lived in Parkersburg, Iowa. She and Marty had moved there 12 years ago. In January of 2007 Nonie lost her husband of 54 ½ years. She remained in Parkersburg after his death and in May of 2012 moved to Maple Manor Village in Aplington where this past Friday at the age of 78 Nonie passed away. She will be greatly missed. Ennola is survived by her children, sons, Martin (wife Jan) Ennor III of George, Dale Ennor of George; daughter Renae (husband Terry) Gruetzmacher of Marshalltown, IA; grandchildren, Russel (wife Susie) Ennor of Sioux Falls, SD, Travis Ennor of Sioux Falls, SD, Martin CJ Ennor of Cedar Rapids, IA, Kyle Weber of Neenah, WI, Gina (husband Michael) Rekers of Waterloo, IA, Brian (wife Crystal) Williams of Omaha, NE, and Stacie Van Beek of Sheldon, IA; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Culver (wife Verna) Klinkenborg of Parkersburg, IA, Delmer Joe (wife Beverly) Klinkenborg of Belton, MO, Bruce Klinkenborg of Parkersburg, IA; and sister, Karel (husband Darvin) Hansmann of Thornton, CO; and other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Virginia Klinkenborg; husband, Marty; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Klinkenborg.
