George, Iowa Terry W. Sprock, age 50 of George, IA died Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at the Sanford Hospital of Rock Rapids, IA. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Hope Reformed Church, George, IA with Reverend David Vander Laan officiating. Burial will follow in the Hope Reformed Cemetery, George. Visitation will be Friday, September 4th, from 3:00 " 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 " 8:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of George. Terry William Sprock was born on November 2, 1958, the son of William and Leone (Ubbinga) Sprock in Rock Rapids, IA. Terry grew up in the George area and attended and graduated from George High School in 1977. He later received his Associates Degree from NCC in Sheldon, IA. On September 5, 1980, he married Brenda Snuttjer at the Hope Reformed Church rural George, IA. Terry and Brenda lived on a farm near George and Terry worked at the United Farmers Coop Elevator for thirty-two years. He was a member of the Hope Reformed Church where he served as a Deacon and Elder throughout the years. He enjoyed watching Twins baseball on TV and going out to eat at Pasados. He liked to tease his nieces and nephews and cook the kids their favorite meals. Terry loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Jackson. Terry is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Brenda Sprock of George, IA; two sons, Eric (wife, Amy) Sprock of McKinney, TX and Andrew Sprock and special friend Amanda Modder of Sioux Fall, SD ; grandson, Jackson; one sister, Elaine (husband, Kenneth) Hinsch of George, IA; mother-in-law, Eunice (husband, Maynard) De Boer of Archer, IA; two nephews, Brad (wife, Sue) Hinsch of George, IA and Alvin (wife, Luella) Smidstra of Rock Rapids, IA; brother-in-law, Arlyn (wife, Dawn) Snuttjer of Doon, IA; sister-in-law, Wanda (husband, Randy) Sneller of Clovis, New Mexico; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Leone Sprock; one niece, Pam Smidstra; and his father-in-law, Arnold Snuttjer.
