Vestie Rachuy

Little Rock, IA Vestie Rachuy age 91 of Little Rock, IA died Monday, September 24, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Society in George. Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 27th at the First Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, IA with Rev. Scott Burdsall, officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Little Rock, IA. Visitation will be one your prior to services at the church. Vestie Roscoe Rachuy was born October 17, 1920, at Little Rock, IA the son of Tena (Nachtigal) and William Rachuy. Vestie grew up at Little Rock and attended Viola Township Country School. On February 6, 1941, he was united in marriage to Christina E. Stella. He farmed in the areas of Adrian, Rushmore, Ellsworth and Sibley and spent the remaining years in Little Rock, IA. After he retired he worked at the elevator, the Co-op gas station and was hired by many as a general all around handyman. Vestie became a resident of the George Good Samaritan Center in June of 2008, where he died this past Monday, September 24, 2012, at the age of ninety-one. He is survived by his son, Virgil and his wife, Bette Rachuy of Little Rock, IA; five grandchildren; and brother, LeRoy Rachuy of Sibley, IA. Vestie was preceded in death by his parents, William and Tena; his wife, Stella; grandson, Kevin; and brothers, Ernest and Harold.
