Little Rock, IA Charles Terhark, age 79 of Little Rock, IA died Monday, January 15, 2007 at the Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital in Rock Rapids. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in George with Pastor Bryan Anderson, officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Little Rock. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. with the family present from 5-8 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in George. Charles Terhark was born November 10, 1927, on a farm place near Park Rapids, MN the son of Ralph and Kate Terhark. In 1930, when Charles was three, his family moved to a farm northwest of Little Rock. In 1933, they moved to Little Rock where he attended school. After his education he started working for George Mulder and Adam Kraling as a farm helper. In May of 1949, Charles was saved and baptized by Uncle Harm Johnson. Soon after Charles was united in marriage to Leona at her parents farm west of Little Rock on June 6, 1949. They made their home on the Stomberg Farm where they raised their family. Charles was a hard working farmer with a passion for his land and his animals. He was a longtime member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church where he ushered for many years. This past Monday morning Charles died unexpectedly at the Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital in Rock Rapids at the age of seventy-nine. Charles is survived by his wife, Leona of Little Rock, IA; his children, Orvis (and his wife, Gloria) Terhark of Blue Earth, MN; Gaylen (and his wife, Deb) Terhark of Little Rock, IA; Glee Meyer of Rock Rapids, IA; Kandace Tjepkes of Adrian, MN; Darin (and his wife, Shannon) Terhark of Brandon, SD; grandchildren, Tyson (Kelly) Terhark of Brandon, SD; Marnie (Rob) Norman of Blue Earth, MN; Jason (Kim) Terhark of Little Rock, IA; Jill (Wade) Netten of Little Rock, IA; Brent Tjepkes of Sioux Falls, SD; Kelsey and Brian Tjepkes of Adrian, MN; and Gavin and Grayson Terhark of Brandon; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Marlin Terhark of Worthington, MN; and sister, Shirley (John) Muldoon of Olathe, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Kate; brother, Delmer; and nephew, John Bernard Muldoon.
