Rock Rapids, Iowa Donna Belle DeBoer, age 77 of Rock Rapids, IA died Monday, October 03, 2011 at the George Good Samaritan Society. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Jurrens Funeral Home in Rock Rapids, IA with Rev. Paul Fischer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids, IA. Visitation will be Thursday, October 6th, 2011 from 12 noon until hour of service at Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids, IA. Donna Belle DeBoer was born February 21, 1934 on the family farm northwest of Rock Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Belle (Conklin) Brinkmann. She attended country school and helped her parents with the family farm. On February 11, 1956 Donna Belle was united in marriage to Edward Otto DeBoer of Adrian, at the Brinkmann family farm. They lived on a farm near Adrian, MN for a short while, before moving to the Brinkmann farm. In 1968 they moved into Rock Rapids and later lived in various communities, including Burnsville, Primghar, May City, Sibley, Sheldon, Boyden and again back to Rock Rapids. In 1976 Donna Belle worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Good Samaritan Society in George, IA, Rock Rapids Health Care Centre and lastly Lyon Manor Nursing and Rehab Center, both in Rock Rapids. On January 1, 1999 Donna Belles husband Edward died after 42 years of marriage. Donna retired from Lyon Manor in 2000 due to health issues. In 2007 Donna Belle entered the George Good Samaritan Society in George, IA, where she passed away this past Monday, October 3, 2011 at the age of 77. She is survived by three children, Chuck DeBoer of Sheldon, IA; Larry Dean DeBoer of Orange City, IA and Linda Lou (DeBoer) Hofmeyer of Sioux City, IA; six grandchildren, Craig Allen DeBoer, David Allen DeBoer, Dan Lee DeBoer, Justin Peter Roemmich, Adam Lee DeBoer, Serena Christina DeBoer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Belle Brinkmann; husband, Edward DeBoer; and son, Robert Lee DeBoer; three brothers, infant Lawrence Brinkmann, Louis Brinkmann Jr. and Robert Joseph Brinnkmann.
