George, IA Sarah A. Sally Julius age 69, of George, IA died Sunday April 4, 2010 at Sanford Hospital in Rock Rapids, IA. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 7th at Jurrens Funeral Home of George with Rev. Tony Metz, officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery at Rock Rapids. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 6th from 2:00 " 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 " 8:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of George. Sarah Ann Sally (Geick) Julius was born July 20, 1940, at Iowa City, IA the daughter of Melvin Henry and Mae (Fallis) Geick. Sally grew up and attended school in Rock Rapids, IA. She was united in marriage to Harold Julius on, October 4, 1958, at Luverne, MN. The couple made their home in George. Harold and Sally owned and operated a business in George for many years called Harolds Place. Over the years she also worked at Joyces Food Center in Sheldon, the Shade Tree Drive Inn, and the Bowling Alley in George. Sally loved to read. This past Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010, Sally died unexpectedly at the age of sixty-nine at the Sanford Hospital in Rock Rapids. Sally is survived by her sons, Tod (Cathy) Julius of Rogers, AR; and Harold L. Ben Julius of Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren, Tuesday, Hannah and Utah Julius of Rogers, AR; two brothers, Gordy Geick of Sioux Falls, SD; and Melvin (Jody) Geick of Council Bluffs, IA; sisters, Coralee (Don) Koel of Rock Rapids, IA; Doris (Larry) Schubert of Rock Rapids, IA and Cheri Haight of Sioux Falls, SD along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold; son, Timothy; brothers, Donny, William, Tommy and Leslie; and sister, Patsy.
