Frances "Pat" Patricia Cuttell

Pat Cuttell, age 95 of Rock Rapids, IA died Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at the Rock Rapids Health Care Centre. A memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 29th at the United Methodist Church in Rock Rapids, IA, with Rev. Anita Bane officiating. Committal service will take place at the Riverside Cemetery in Spencer, IA at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday, April 29th one hour prior to the service at the church. Frances Patricia Kennedy was born on December 14, 1914 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of William and Bertha (Braidwood) Kennedy. Later her family moved to Yankton, SD where she remained until she was united in marriage to James C. Cuttell on June 15, 1950 in Spencer, IA. On May 25, 1951 they were blessed with a daughter, Suzie. In November of 1954 they moved to Rock Rapids, IA. Pat worked at the Lyon County Co-op for 33 years as a bookkeeper. On December 2, 1995 Pats husband, Jim died after forty-five years of marriage. On March 4, 1997 Pat retired from the Lyon County Co-op. Pat was a member of the United Methodist Church of Rock Rapids, active with the Naomi Circle, teaching Sunday school and other various community activities. She also enjoyed playing bridge with the girls. This past Tuesday, April 27, 2010 Pat died at the Rock Rapids Health Care Centre at the age of 95. She is survived by two daughters, Suzie Cuttell of Rock Rapids, IA and Shirley Liles of Owensboro, KY; a brother-in-law, Jim Bauer of Yankton, SD; and a host of other extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha Kennedy, and husband, James C. Cuttell.
