Sibley, IA Joyce E. Moose, age 78 of Sibley, IA formerly of Little Rock, IA died Thursday, December 9, 2010, at her home in Sibley, IA. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 13, 2010, at the First Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, IA with Reverend Scott Burdsall, officiating. Burial will take place prior to the service private for family in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Little Rock, IA. Visitation will be Sunday, December 12th from 2:00 " 8:00 with the family present from 6:00 " 8:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley. Joyce Elaine Moose was born on February 3, 1932, the daughter of John V. and Anna (Kruse) Kruse in Little Rock, IA. She grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Little Rock High School in 1950. In 1951, she went to work for Dr. Thomas J. Carroll as a Lab Technician. On March 29, 1957, Joyce was united in marriage to Ralph E. Moose at the Bethel Reformed Church, rural Ellsworth, MN. To this union two daughters were born, Barbara and Jana Moose. Joyce was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, where she was very active in the womens group and church choir. Joyce enjoyed music and playing the piano. She liked it when her neighbors would come over to visit and most of all she loved going to visit her sister, Shirley. Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Barb (Mike) Schmidt of Denison, IA and Jana (Michael) Havlovic of Sioux Falls, SD; two grandsons, Daymon and Nolan Schmidt; one step-grandson, Elijah Havlovic; one sister, Shirley Knock of Sioux Falls, SD; and three nephews and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Moose; and two brothers, Everly and Donald Kruse.
