George, IA Alvin Krull, age 83 of George, IA died peacefully Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 2nd at Hope Reformed Church in George, with Rev. David Vander Laan, officiating. Burial will follow in the Hope Reformed Cemetery at George. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 1st from 2:00 " 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 " 8:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of George. Alvin Merl Krull was born April 10, 1924, at George, Iowa, the son of Henry and Abby (Sprock) Krull. He grew up on a farm northwest of George, where he attended Liberal #5 country school. On August 27, 1946, he was united in marriage to Henrietta Korthals of George at the Hope Reformed Church parsonage. He and Henrietta made their home on the same farm where Alvin grew up. Alvin lived his entire life on this farm until March of 2007, when he entered the George Good Samaritan Center. Alvin enjoyed farming, working with his animals, was an avid Minnesota Twins fan, and enjoyed visiting with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Hope Reformed Church at rural George. This past Sunday, March 30, 2007, Alvin died at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 83 years, 11months and 20 days. He is survived by his wife, Henrietta of 61 years; three sons, Myron Krull and his wife, Penny of Rock Rapids; Norman Krull and his wife, Eileen of George; Lloyd Krull and his wife, Delores of George; two daughters, Carol Boltjes and her husband, Lee of Spencer, IA; and Lori Haack and her husband, Perry of LaCrosse, WI. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Iona Krull of Rock Rapids; Frances Groen of Little Rock; and Betty Groenwold of George. Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Weert; Henry Jr.; Fred Lefty ; Ivan and Harold Bud ; three sisters, Grace Klaahsen; Sena Krull and Caroline Gruis; and son-in-law, Duane Enderson.
