Darlyn "Dar" Lujean Oldenkamp

Sibley, IA Darlyn Dar Oldenkamp, age 75 of Sibley, IA died Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley. Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley, IA, with Reverend Terry Simm officiating. Burial will follow at the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 A.M. until time of service at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley. Darlyn LuJean Oldenkamp was born on April 1, 1936 in Viola Township, Iowa the daughter of Ted and Evelyn (Venenga) Dilly. She graduated from Ellsworth Minnesota in 1954. On December 22, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ralph Reck and to this union two sons were born, David and Allen. Dar and Ralph were later divorced and Dar married Harold Oldenkamp and they resided in Rock Valley. After Harold passed away she moved to Arnolds Park, Iowa where she lived until 1999. Then she moved to Sibley, Iowa and was a resident at Country View Manor until she passed away this past Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the age of seventy-five. During her stay at Country View Manor she met and became very close to the Runge and Dagel families. They took her in as a member of their family and included her in many of their family outing and brought her to church with them. Dar is survived by one son, Allen (wife, Lori) Reck of Sibley, IA.; three grandchildren, Jason Reck and Ashlee and Tyler Reck; five siblings, Marlys Hanson of South Dakota, Dennis Dilly of Arkansas, Harry Bud Dilly of Missouri, Dale Dilly of Minnesota and Cindy Dilly of Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, David Reck; her husband Harold Oldenkamp and her parents, Ted and Evelyn Dilly.
