Margaret Rydell

Rock Rapids, Iowa Margaret June Rydell, age 71 of Rock Rapids, IA died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital in Rock Rapids. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 28th at Holy Name Catholic Church in Rock Rapids, IA, with Father Jeff Schleisman officiating. Burial will follow at the Holy Name Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 27th from 2 " 8 PM, with the family present from 6 " 8 PM at the Roste Funeral Home of Rock Rapids. Margaret June Rydell was born June 4, 1936 to Karl and Margaret (Lynch) Rydell. She grew up in Rock Rapids and graduated from school in 1954. After graduation, June helped her older brothers and sisters whenever needed, to raise their families. After working different jobs in the area, June then became employed as a telephone operator in Algona, IA. June later moved back to Rock Rapids to take care of her mother and raise her son Dan. She worked as the restaurant manager for Circle R restaurant, and later worked in the cafeteria at K-Products until retirement. Throughout Junes life, she enjoyed the simple things in life, bowling, gardening, the outdoors, canvas painting, playing cards, watching TV and having coffee with her caring friends, Linda, Carol and Janie. June received the most joy in life from taking care of, and being involved with her family. Junes endearing qualities were, a huge caring heart, and hard work ethic, and straight forward honesty. You always knew where you stood with June. She was the center of the Rydell family. June battled osteoporosis for many years and on July 24th she suffered a massive stroke and passed away on July 25th at the age of 71 years. Her laughter and her love will live in our hearts forever, blessed be her memory. June is survived by her son Dan and his wife Elaine Rydell and their children Cassy Rydell and Nick Rydell and many nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Margaret Rydell; three brothers, Ronnie Rydell, Bob Rydell, and Bill Rydell; two sisters, Mary Cassman and Thelma Johnson.
