SIBLEY, IOWA Audrey Crockett, age 87 of Sibley, IA died Thursday, April 5, 2007 at the Lakes Regional Healthcare Center in Spirit Lake, IA. Funeral service will be 1:30 PM, Tuesday, April 10th at the First Baptist Church in Sibley, with Rev. Tom Voigt officiating. Burial will follow at the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley, IA. Visitation will be Monday, April 9th from 2 " 8 PM, with the family present from 6 " 8 PM at the Walton-Roste Funeral Home of Sibley. Audrey Davison Crockett was born on December 9, 1919, the daughter of Jesse L. and Pauline (Davison) Drake in Sibley, Iowa. She attended school in Sibley through the eleventh grade. On June 21, 1935, she was united in marriage to Richard W. Crockett. Audrey was a homemaker most of her life but also worked with her daughter at Tiny Togs childrens clothing store and later at Willes Department Store. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Sibley, where she was very active. At the age of eighty she still delivered Meals on Wheels . Audrey enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking and especially being with her family. She was also a very avid reader, reading many books from the church library. Audrey is survived by four daughters, Myrna (husband Ken) Harms of Sibley, Corinne Zorgdrager of Austin, TX, Sandra Feekes of Sibley and Linda (husband Bill) Johnson of Sioux Falls, SD; twelve grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; one sister, Vivian Flynn of Worthington, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1990; two grandsons, Matthew Waalkes and Daniel Moet; one great granddaughter, Desiree and one brother, Donald E. Drake.
