Edward James Kruger

Sibley, Iowa Edward Jim Kruger, age 64, of Sibley, IA, died Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday, August 28, 2006 at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Sibley, with Reverend Larry Laskie officiating. Burial will follow in the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM on Sunday, August 27th, with the family present from 6-8 PM at the Walton-Roste Funeral Home of Sibley. Edward James Kruger was born on June 23, 1942, the son of Lubertus and Verna (Gruis) Kruger in George, IA. He attended school in Ashton. On November 10, 1961, he was united in marriage to Sandra Davis in Sibley, IA. He was employed by Exopack in Sibley for 31 years prior to his retirement, then worked a short time for Jeddeloh Ford before his illness. Edward was a member of the United Church of Christ, and enjoyed yard work, camping, and attending his grandchildrens activities. Jim is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Sandra Kruger of Sibley; four children, Phillip (wife Melinda) Kruger of George, IA, Kelly (wife Robin) Kruger of George, IA, Jamie (husband Jeff) Detrick of Paullina, IA, and Kevin (wife Gina) Kruger of Ashton, IA; eleven grandchildren; six siblings, Alan (wife LaVonne) Kruger of Worthington, MN, Karen (husband Jim) Jorgensen of Norfolk, NE, Sandra Kruger of Rock Rapids, IA, Kathy Kruger of Spencer, IA, Julie King of Rock Rapids and Jon (wife Janet) Kruger of Rock Rapids; two sister-in-laws, Rosie Schroeder and special friend Bob Jones of Anita, IA and Connie (husband Tom) Rahbusch of Sutherland, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Thomas Kruger.
