Ellsworth, MN      Ronald J. Hinrichs, age 64 of Ellsworth, MN died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the Sanford Luverne Hospital in Luverne, MN.      Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Zion Presbyterian Church in Ellsworth, with Reverend Calvin Hsu officiating.      Burial will follow at the Grand Prairie Cemetery in Ellsworth, MN.      Visitation will be Friday, July 13th from 2-8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the Zion Presbyterian Church in Ellsworth, MN.      Ronald Jake Hinrichs was born October 9, 1947, in Adrian, Minnesota, the son of Jacob and Marian (Solma) Hinrichs. He graduated high school in Adrian. Ron married Earleen Skillman on April 1, 1971 in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple lived in or around Ellsworth their entire married life. Ron farmed most of his life with his dad and was proud to have his son and grandsons take over some of the duties on the farm. He also worked various jobs which included Bedford Industries, Adrian power plant, local fertilizer plant, Short Stop, Sudenga’s and also helped out many area farmers with different jobs. Ron may have lost part of a limb as a young boy but it didn’t slow him down or keep him from doing what he wanted. This past April Ron was involved in a car accident and his health began to decline, but he put up a good fight and tried his hardest to get better again. He was a member of the Zion Presbyterian Church in Ellsworth, Grand Prairie Cemetery Board, where he was also a grounds keeper. He also was member of the Granite Threshing Bee. Ron enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, fishing, shooting darts, crossword puzzels, tractor pulls and farming. He could spend countless hours driving along the countryside checking crops and looking for wildlife. Ron loved his family very much and enjoyed his grandkids greatly. Anytime family and friends got together Ron looked forward to the good food and even better conversation. In April of 2012 Ron entered the Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth. This past Sunday, July 8, 2012 Ron died at the Sanford Luverne Hospital in Luverne, MN at the age of 64.      He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Earleen (Lynn) Hinrichs of Ellsworth, MN; two children, Jody (Merrily) Hinrichs and Christina (Ray) Palmer, both of Ellsworth, MN; five grandchildren, Jordan (Krystal Sweeney) Hinrichs, Amber (Spencer Swanson) Hinrichs, Trei Hinrichs, McKenna Hinrichs and Kaci Palmer, all of Ellsworth, MN; two great-grandchildren, Skyla and Logan; his mother, Marian Hinrichs of Ellsworth, MN; two brothers, Marvin Hinrichs of Adrian, MN and Jake Hinrichs, Jr. of Ellsworth, MN; two sisters, Arlene (Jim T.) Rosdahl of Northwood, IA and Ruth (John Mauch) Hinrichs of Adrian, MN; two sisters-in-law, Judy (Gary) Meester of Sioux Falls, SD and Laureen (Norbert) Fick of Luverne, MN; and numerous other family and friends.      He was preceded in death by father, Jacob Hinrichs; two infant brothers; and a great-grandson, Carter Palmer; parents-in-law, Raymond and Leona Skillman
