Kevin L. Sohl, age 52 of Fargo, ND, formerly of George, IA died Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 8th at St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Hull, IA, with Rev. Steve Mehl officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 7th from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids. Also, there will be a memorial service at 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 13th at the Fargo Air Museum in Fargo, ND. Kevin L. Sohl was born October 2, 1957 in Sioux Center, Iowa to Al and Arlene (Techen) Sohl. He was raised in George, Iowa and graduated from George Community High School in 1976. Kevin furthered his education and graduated from the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks in 1981. He worked as an Account Manager for a software company in Fargo, North Dakota. Kevin had an enduring love of aviation and spent many hours volunteering at the Fargo Air Museum. He was also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and loved to build and fly airplanes. He had a passion for fixing things and enjoyed tinkering with whatever was presenting a problem. Kevin was a member of the Great Plains Harmony Mens Chorus and enjoyed singing barbershop. This past Monday, Kevin passed away in Rochester, MN at the age of 52. He will be missed by many. Survivors include his parents, Al and Arlene Sohl of Rock Rapids, IA; brother, Brian Sohl of Sanger, TX; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. Kevin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Elise Sohl and maternal grandparents, Arlie and Ella Techen; cousins, Rodney Winter, Douglas Techen and Michael Sohl.
