Sibley, IA Marjorie Marge Snow, age 86 of Sibley, IA, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at her home in Sibley. Memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, Nov. 28th at the United Methodist Church in Sibley, with Reverend Douglas Harding officiating. Burial will follow at Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley. Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 27th from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Sibley. Marjorie Patricia Snow was born on July 28, 1923, the daughter of Harlan and Gladys (Allen) South in Spokane, WA. Marge was raised in Bagley, MN and graduated from Bagley High School. On November 7, 1944, she was united in marriage to Morris Bud Snow in Sibley, IA. After their marriage, they farmed in Osceola County. Marge and her husband Morris moved to Sibley in 2001. On January 24, 2004, Morris passed away and Marge continued to live in the house in town. In 2008 she moved to Heartwood Heights. Marge was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Sibley, where she served on many committees, as a Sunday school teacher and member of the United Methodist Women. She volunteered as a 4H leader and worked at the Osceola County Fair food stand for many years. Marge loved to read and collected many teddy bears through the years. She enjoyed gardening when she lived on the farm, and after moving to town she had many pots of flowers. Marge is survived by four children, Jackie (husband, Gary) Schiernbeck of Hartley, IA, Gary (wife, Bobbie) Snow of Sibley, IA, Craig (wife, Judy) Snow of New Castle, CO and Beth Snow-Ketchum (husband, Mick Ketchum) of Wallingford, IA; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Diantha South of Sibley, IA; foster sister, Gertrude Behrens of Buffalo, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Morris; son, Scott; and brother, William South.
