PARKERSBURG, IA Martin Ennor, age 76 of Parkersburg, IA formerly of George, IA died Saturday morning, January 6, 2007, at the Maple Manor Care Center in Applington, IA. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2006 at Central Baptist Church in George with Pastor Keith Vik, officiating. Burial will follow with graveside military honors in the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery at George. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-7 p.m. with the family present from 5-7 p.m. at the Roste Funeral Home of George. Martin Chalmers Pa Ennor was born April 28th, 1930 at George the son of Martin C Ennor Sr. and Blanche (Rhoades) Ennor. Martin C. Ennor Jr. was united in marriage to Ennola Rae Klinkenborg on June 20th 1952 at the Central Baptist Church in George Iowa. Marty and Nonie had 3 children and spent most of their years in George. Marty worked at the George Post Office, and later transferred to a rural route north of town before retiring on July 1st 1988. Marty served his country by spending 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. One year of that enlistment was spent in Korea during the war. His love of the military enticed him to join the South Dakota Air National Guard where he served 16 years, most of that time working on the ejection systems of fighter jets. Marty had a love of the outdoors and nature which included hunting and fishing. He spent many hours at the river trapping in his earlier years while traveling and golfing with friends were highlights of his latter years. In 2000 Marty and Nonie moved to Parkersburg Iowa where he was diagnosed with Parkinsons disease and dementia. Marty spent the past 2 ½ years at Maple Manor Village in Aplington Iowa until he passed away January 6th 2007 at the age of 76 years-8 mos.-8 days. He is survived by his wife Ennola (Nonie) of Parkersburg; 2 sons, Marty (friend Jan William) of George; Dale of George; 1 daughter, Ranae (husband Terry) Gruetzmacher of Marshaltown; 5 Grandchildren, Russel (wife Sue), Travis (wife Lindsey), Kyle Weber, Gina Weber and Martin C.J.; 2 Great Grandchildren, Payton and Jacob Ennor; 2 Step Great Grandchildren, Tyler Kadinger and Cameron Langner; 1 sister, Billie Barger of Denver; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Blanche Ennor; 2 sisters, Alma (Ennor) Jackson and Cary (Ennor) Veenker; 1 brother, John T. Ennor.
