Janet Wildeman

Janet Wildeman age 58 of Sibley, IA died unexpectedly Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Friday, June 27th, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley, with Rev. Barb Kopperud officiating. Burial will follow at Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley. Visitation will be Thursday June 26th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley. Janet Wildeman was born November 29, 1955 in Sibley, IA to Charlie and Jean (Dammenn) Behrens. She was raised and received her education in Sibley, graduating from Sibley High School in 1973. She continued her education in secretarial studies at Sheldon. On May 31, 1975 she was united in marriage to Jerry Wildeman at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley. Janet worked as the secretary at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley for 20 years. She then returned to school in Sheldon and studied Medical Transcription. Janet traveled to the Spirit Lake hospital and worked as a transcriptionist for 18 years. For the last several years she was able to work that same job from home. She enjoyed making greeting cards for her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing cards and baking. Her family was most important to Janet. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her family will cherish many special memories of her. This past Wednesday Janet passed away unexpectedly at the Osceola Community Hospital at the age of 58. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Wildeman of Sibley, IA; her children, Chris (Wendy) Wildeman and their children Caitlin and Michael of Linn Grove, IA; Craig Wildeman of Brandon, SD; Brad Wildeman of Brandon, SD; and Tracy (John) Mburu of Eden Prairie, MN; sister-in-law, Marsha Behrens of Shakopee, MN; brother, Ryan (Libby) Behrens of Northfield, MN; Glenn (Carol) Behrens of Northfield, MN; and Kathy (Darren) Akrie of Centennial, CO; nieces and nephews and other extended family members. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Jean Behrens; and brother, Larry Behrens.
