Sibley, IA Linda Runge, age 59 of Sibley, IA died Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Memorial service will be 11:00AM, Friday, October 29th at the United Methodist Church in Sibley, IA. Visitation will be Thursday, October 28th from 4:00 to 8:00PM, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley. Linda Kay Dagel was born in Sibley, Iowa on November 25, 1950 to Dale and Carol (Wehmeyer) Dagel. Linda attended Sibley Schools, graduating in 1969. Working numerous jobs, she preferred working with people as a care giver. Linda started out as a Candy Striper during high school. On November 23, 1969, she was united in marriage to Herman Runge and they had four children, divorcing at a later date. When her children were still young, Linda put herself through nursing school and became a LPN, and spent her lifetime caring for others. Lindas hobbies included embroidering, needle point, camping with family, fishing and helping her children and grandchildren with events which included 4-H hobbies, church and school activities. Lindas life is celebrated by her family which include her children: Nicole Knudson (special friend, Will) of Hartley, Iowa, Christopher (Jennifer) Runge of Sibley, Iowa, Tina (Charles) Wickstrom of Scotland, South Dakota, and Kyle (Mathew) Clary of Council Bluffs, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Victoria, Emily, Karissa, Tiffany, Wyatt and William; four siblings, Rose (Joe) Venenga of Humboldt, South Dakota, Thomas (Ruth) Dagel of Sibley, Iowa, Vicky (Robert) Prins of Sibley, Iowa and Cindy Dagel of Sibley, Iowa. Though not mentioned by name but equally loved, are many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Carol Dagel; sister, Deborah; and two brothers, Timothy and Scott. After suffering a long illness God called her home. Linda will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
