Sibley, Iowa Dale Krogman, age 82 of Sibley, IA died Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 30th at the St. Andrews Catholic Church in Sibley, with Father John Vakulskas as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery in Sibley. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 29th from 2:00 " 8:00 p.m. with family present from 6:00 " 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 5:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley. Dale Bernard Krogman was born on November 16, 1927 in Ashton, Iowa, the son of John and Rose (Meinen) Krogman. He was united in marriage to Mary Jean Voss on January 11, 1949. They farmed north of Sibley before moving to town in 2008. Dale was a member of the St. Andrews Catholic Church in Sibley. He spent his life devoted to his family and farming. Dale enjoyed driving his 77 Oliver tractor in many different parades. He loved watching his children and grandchildren playing on the farm, and having coffee with friends around town. Dale is survived by his wife of sixty years, Mary Jean; nine children, David (Sherlene) Krogman of George, IA, Donald (Rebecca) Krogman of Sibley, IA, Jane Krogman of Sibley, IA, Harold (Sue) Krogman of Sibley, IA, Jarold (Donna) Krogman of Spencer, IA, Joyce (Craig) Julius of Bigelow, MN, Doris (Dennis) Hoffman of Sibley, IA, John (Melanie) Krogman of San Diego, CA and Dale (Kristin) Krogman of Manvel, TX; twenty grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; one brother, Dennis (Shirley) Krogman of Hospers, IA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Lora Krogman.
