Ashton, Iowa Beverly Klosterman, age 76 of Ashton, Iowa died Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Ashton with Fr. John Vakulskas and Fr. Kevin Richter as celebrants. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery at Ashton, IA. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 1st from 2:00 " 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 " 8:00 p.m. at the St. Marys Catholic Church. There will be a rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. The Jurrens Funeral Home of Ashton is handling arrangements. Beverly (Foley) Klosterman was born on August 6, 1932, on a farm near Melvin, Iowa, the daughter of William Elmer and Goldie (Guertin) Foley. Her parents moved to Sibley, Iowa when she was six months old. She graduated from Sibley High School. She married Earl Klosterman on September 2, 1950 at the St. Andrews Catholic Church in Sibley. They lived on the family farm for three years then moved to Ashton. Beverly was head of the St. Marys Catholic Church Ladies Guild for a number of years and she also was an active member of the Catholic Daughters, serving as an officer and Regent. She was on the Ashton Library Board for twenty-nine years and the County Board of Health for twenty-nine years. Beverly also had a special birthday group that she enjoyed. In 1998, she and Earl became snow birds and wintered in Arizona City, AZ. Beverly especially enjoyed hosting the Foley Family Reunion every two years since 1977 and had a ball. Beverly is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Earl Klosterman of Ashton, IA; four children: JoAnn (husband Evan) Oster of West Des Moines, IA, Douglas (wife Rita) Klosterman of Ankeny, IA, Karen (husband Bob) Teeselink of Algona, IA and Connie (husband Bob) Roitenberg of Chanhassen, MN; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren that she loved very much; two sisters: Lorraine (husband Lloyd) Dresser of Ames, IA and Kathleen Dwiggins of Florrissant, MO; three brothers: Roger (wife Neomia) Foley of Sutherland, IA, Don Foley of Hollywood, CA and Jack (wife Judy) Foley of Colorado Springs, CO; many special nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Marie Foley of Chula Vista, CA; and one brother-in-law, Dale Windes of West Alton, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Burdette Foley; one sister, Pat Windes; and one brother-in-law, Lawrence Dwiggins.
