Henrietta Peterson

Little Rock, IA Henrietta Peterson, age 95 formerly of Little Rock, IA died Friday, September 4, 2009 at the Sibley Nursing and Rehab in Sibley. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock, with Reverend Brian Hellenga officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Little Rock. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. The Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley is in charge of arrangements. Henrietta Peterson was born on March 1, 1914, the daughter of Sievert and Jennie (Van Dyke) Dammer in Little Rock, IA. On August 1, 1932, she was united in marriage to Arthur Peterson in Sioux Falls, SD. The couple lived in Little Rock. Following her husband Arthurs death in 1982, Henrietta made her home close to her two daughters. Since 2002, she has been a resident at the Sibley Nursing & Rehab in Sibley, IA. Henrietta was a member of the Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock and the American Legion Auxiliary. Henrietta is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Garrels of State Center, IA and Marlene Elia of Scottsdale, AZ; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven brothers and four sisters.
