Hills, MN Sherryl Knobloch, age 61 of Hills, MN died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28th at the Apostolic Christian Church in Lester, IA with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 27th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 " 8:00 p.m. at the Apostolic Christian Fellowship Hall in Lester. Sherryl Janece Knobloch was born February 9, 1948 on a family farm south west of Chamberlain, SD, the daughter of Gordon and Marie (Binegar) Ellis. She attended country school and graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1965. She continued her education at Augustana College and Chadron College. Sherryl was married to Larry Alan Knobloch on January 14, 1968. They farmed near Hills, MN for over 40 years. Sherryl was a talented seamstress, avid gardener, dedicated employee, and a faithful member of the Apostolic Christian Church at Lester, IA. She also lovingly crocheted a blanket for each of her grandchildren as they were born, and she loved to sing. Most importantly, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who always had a smile and a word of encouragement to all she knew. Sherryl is survived by her husband of 41 years, Larry Knobloch of Hills, MN; six children, Valerie (Mike) Howell of Phoenix, AZ, Dean Knobloch of Sioux Falls, SD, Darin (Stacy) Knobloch of Rock Rapids, IA, Damon (Stephanie) Knobloch of Morris, MN, Dallas (Amy) Knobloch of Hills, MN and Jerilyn (Matt) Waldbeser of Morris, MN; twelve beautiful grandchildren; her mother, Marie Ellis of Rapid City, SD; sister, Carolyn (Bernard) Jones of Chadron, NE; and brother, Randy (Tralice) Ellis of Rapid City, SD; several aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Ellis; step-mother, Shirley Ellis; and nephew, Jeremy Heyer.
