Lemoin "Lee" Bruzer

George, Iowa Lemoin Bruzer, age 94 of George, IA died Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Center in George, IA. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 22, 2013 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in George with Rev. Dr. Paul Soderquist officiating. Inurnment will follow at Evergreen Lawn Cemetery in George. Family will have a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. to time of service on Thursday at the church. Lemoin Peter Bruzer was born July 11, 1919 to Ike and Mary (Ackerman) Bruzer in Estelline, South Dakota. He moved to George in his early 20s. He worked for several farmers and then was employed by the George Elevator. He met and was united in marriage to Anne Habben in George. To this marriage they had two children, Dale and Jeanne. Lee was self-employed for many years operating a corn shelling business. After many years he sold his business. He worked at Sudengass and also for Lyon County. He entered the Rock Rapids Nursing Home in 1986. Two years later he was moved to the George Nursing Home. He resided there until his passing. He was 94 years old. He is survived by his children, son, Dale Bruzer of Villard, Minnesota and Apache Junction, Arizona; and daughter, Jeanne (Chuck) Behr of St. Paul, Minnesota; granddaughter, Jennifer of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota; along with many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Anne Bruzer; siblings and other family members.
