FUNERAL NOTICE: Sibley, IA Ora Breuer, age 93 of Sibley, IA died Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, IA. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 11th, at Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock, with Reverend Brian Hellenga officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery of Little Rock. Visitation will be Friday, August 10th, from 2-8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the Walton-Roste Funeral Home of Sibley. Ora Johanna (Wilts) Breuer was born in Osfriesland, Germany to Alje and Helen (DeBerg) Wilts on December 29, 1913. At the age of seven Ora immigrated to the United States with her parents and older sister, Dorothy. She went to country schools in the rural Little Rock area also attended high school in Worthington, MN. She was a nurse at various hospitals and homes in the area. On May 23, 1946, she was united in marriage to Walter B. Breuer. They farmed in the Hull and George area before settling on a farm northwest of Sibley in 1955. She continued living in her own home until July 31, 2007, when she spent the rest of her days in the hospital and nursing home. Ora was a devoted member of the Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock and was active in Willing Workers group. She enjoyed making quilts, crocheting and doing word-search puzzles. Ora especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ora is survived by her son John (wife Myra) Breuer of Rock Rapids and daughter Helen (husband Doug) Rahfaldt of Sibley; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Dorothy Strenge and infant brother Jerry Wilts.
