Rock Rapids, IA Micheal Steinberg, age 41 of Rock Rapids, IA died unexpectedly Tuesday May 20, 2014, at his home in Rock Rapids. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 24th at Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids, with Rev. Mark Hansen officiating. Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, May 24th from 12:00 to the hour of service at Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids. Micheal Jon Steinberg was born April 30th, 1973 in Luverne, Minnesota, the son of Ronald E. and Judith A. (Rustman) Steinberg. He was raised in Rock Rapids, IA and attended Central Lyon Community Schools. He graduated in 1992 and continued his education at Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids, IA, graduating in 1995. He began his career with Gateway working in various IT roles. He lived and worked in South Dakota, Colorado, Utah and Nevada, before moving back to Rock Rapids. He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Judith Steinberg of Rock Rapids, IA; a brother, Robert Steinberg of Denver, CO; one aunt and uncle, Dennis and Marlys Rustman of Colorado Springs, CO; two cousins, Sheri Tee and Lisa Garcia; and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Andrew and Edna Steinberg; and maternal grandparents, John and Anna Rustman.
