Sibley, IA Mildred Gosch, age 86 formerly of Okoboji, IA, of Sibley died Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Sibley Nursing and Rehab Care Center in Sibley, IA. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 17th at the Walton-Roste Funeral Home of Sibley, with Rev. Terry Simm officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, until the hour of service. Burial will follow at the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley. Mildred Mary Ann Gosch was born on November 11, 1920, the daughter of Anthony and Elizabeth (Schwarzkopf) Strouth, of Ashton, IA. She attended St. Marys Catholic School. As a girl, she lived in Luverne, MN, as well as Huron, SD. On September 25, 1950 she was united in marriage to Marvin Gosch. They farmed north of Sibley. Marvin passed away in August of 1969. She worked for Campbell Soup Co. in Worthington, MN. After leaving the farm, she worked over 15 years for Berkley & Company in Spirit Lake, IA. Until recently, she lived the last 30 years in Okoboji, IA. Millie died on Friday, January 12, 2007 at the Sibley Nursing & Rehab Center in Sibley at the age of 86. Millie is survived by one son, Jerry (wife, Nadine) Gosch of Cedar Hill, TX, two grandchildren, Grant of Cedar Hill, TX and Jennifer of Arlington, TX, one sister Marjorie (husband, Leonard) Poss of Sibley, IA, a brother-in-law, Karyl Koopman of Sibley, IA, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Lois Koopman. In Leu of flower memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association of Northwest Iowa.
