Larchwood, IA Robert Moser,Sr., age 76 of Larchwood, IA passed away suddenly Thursday, December 24, 2009 at his home in rural Larchwood. Funeral services will be 1:30 PM, Tuesday, Dec.29th at United Church of Christ in Larchwood. Burial will follow at Larchwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 28th from 3:00 to 8:00 PM, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at United Church of Christ in Larchwood. Jurrens Funeral Home of Larchwood is in charge of services. Robert Moser, Sr. was born in Lester, Iowa to Dick and Violet Moser. When he was a teenager, he and his family moved to a farm near Hills, MN. He entered the U.S. Army and served his country honorably until his discharge in 1955. He returned to Larchwood, IA and married Margrite Schumacher and together they farmed east of Larchwood. He was a loving, honest, hard working farmer, who loved working the land and raising livestock. He especially loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was active in the family farm operation until his death. He is survived by his wife, Margrite Moser of Larchwood, IA; his sons, Kurt Moser of Minneapolis, MN, Robert Moser, Jr. (his wife Deb) of Larchwood, IA, and Jeff Moser (his wife, Connie of Larchwood, IA; a daughter, Rosy Bruggeman (her husband, Jim) of Larchwood, IA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren who loved him very much: Jeremy (his wife, Julie), Daniel (his wife, Jaci), Justine, Jacob, Vaughn, Nick, and Eli; along with three great-grandchildren, Landon, Jackson, and Avery. He is also survived by his brother, Dr. Charles Moser of St. Paul, MN; a sister, Bonnie Stavig of Sioux Falls, SD; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Violet Moser; his brother, Dick Sr. and sister Verlys Crockett.
