SIBLEY, IOWA Dorothy Breckle, age 92 of Sibley, died Wednesday, March 14, 2006 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM on Monday, March 19, 2006 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Sibley, with Father Clair L. Boes officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery of Sibley. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 18th, from 2 until 8:00 PM with the family present from 5 " 8 PM at the Walton-Roste Funeral Home of Sibley. There will be a Rosary Service at 5:00 PM and a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM. Dorothy June Breckle Babe was born on February 11, 1915. She was the 10th child of Frank Joseph Breckle and Anna Catherine (Wickedal) Breckle. Sibley was her home her entire life. She graduated from Sibley High School in 1933. While in high school she sold tickets at the Max Theatre. After graduation she worked with photographer Norm Barnes and later at Brunsons Hardware store and AMPI. She finished her career with a job as bookkeeper at the Ford Garage in Sibley. She began a new career working for her niece, Nancy Ramsdell and her husband Mike, as the bookkeeper of the Park Pharmacy. She worked until her death. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and bowling. She liked to watch old movies on television and listen to Daniel ODonnell on CDs She was a 50 year member of the Catholic Daughters. She was devoted to her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brother George Breckle Sr, her nephews, Ralph Breckle, Charles Breckle and her nieces Mary Monahan, Ayres Marco, Marlys Breckle and Nancy Ramsdell and many grand nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, her sisters, Anna Bryan (William), Josephine Marco (Ulmont), Mary Sullivan (Tommy) and Marguerite Breckle, and her brothers Rudolph Breckle (Mary), Frank Breckle (Neil) Oscar Breckle (Bessie), and Edward Breckle and her nephews, George Breckle Jr , Gary Marco, and Robert Breckle, and niece, Betty Oberreuter.
