Sibley, IA Irvin Hinders, age 64 of Sibley, IA died Saturday, July 3, 2010, at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, July 7th at Zoar Presbyterian Church in George, IA, with Rev. Dale Lint officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Little Rock, IA. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 6th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley. Irvin Hinders was born on May 21, 1946 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, Iowa, the son of Merrill "Red" and Grace S. (Blum) Hinders. He was raised on a farm north of Sibley and attended country school. After his education, Irvin remained living with his parents and helped with the day to day operation of the farm. Irvin and his father were blessed with a wonderful Father/Son relationship. Irvin also enjoyed hunting and trapping with his father and friends. He also frequently attended auctions and farm sales. Irvin was a talented mechanic and blacksmith. After his father's death in 1978, Irvin remained living with his mother and continued farming. Later, Irvin and Grace moved a half mile west to the Attig acreage. When his mother passed away in 2008, Irvin remained on his acreage and continued to farm until his death. Irvin is survived by an aunt, Doris Blum of Evans, CO; and many cousins and other extended family. Irvin was preceded in death by his parents; Merrill "Red" and Grace Hinders.
