Melvin Kramer, age 74 of Larchwood, IA died Monday, July 26, 2010 at Lyon Manor Nursing & Rehab Center in Rock Rapids, IA. Public Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 2nd at the Larchwood City Cemetery, in Larchwood, IA. Melvin John Kramer was born on April 29, 1936 at Larchwood, IA, the son of William and Clara (Bruggeman) Kramer. After attending St. Marys School at Larchwood he worked for the Larchwood elevator, as a farm hand for Dick Moser, and for Graves Construction for many years. He was a lifelong member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Larchwood. He died Monday, July 26, 2010 at Lyon Manor in Rock Rapids, IA. He is survived by sisters, Bernadette (Don) Bauer of Larchwood, Mary (Roger) Hartman of Battle Creek, IA; brothers, Leonard Kramer of Rock Rapids, IA, Ronald (Arla) Kramer of Larchwood, IA; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
