Ellsworth, MN Anna Harms, age 99 of Ellsworth, MN died Monday, April 23, 2013 at Parkview Manor in Ellsworth, MN. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 27th at Tabernacle Baptist Church in George, IA, with Rev. Bryan Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Lawn Cemetery at George. Visitation will be Friday, April 26th from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Jurrens Funeral Home of George. Anna Lavonne (Kruger) Harms was born March 26, 1914 near Bethel Reformed Church in Lyon County, Iowa, the daughter of William and Ida (Henrichs) Kruger. As a child her family lived near Little Rock and Ellsworth, while she attended country school. Anna was the oldest of twelve children. She loved her church and church people and all the people that came to visit her. On June 30, 1934 Anna was united in marriage to Bruno J. Harms in Sioux Falls, SD. They lived near George for five years before moving to Ellsworth in 1939, where she lived the rest of life. Anna helped her husband with the salvage yard business and worked for seven years at Parkview Manor Nursing Home in Ellsworth. After retiring she babysat for many families in the Ellsworth area. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her great-grandchildren referred to her as Grandma Anna. In 1997 Annas husband, Bruno died after 62 years of marriage. On July 23, 2007 Anna entered Parkview Manor, where she remained until her passing, this past Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at the age of 99 years and 28 days. She is survived by her five children, Daryl (Jeanne)Harms of Bella Vista, AK, Larry (Lorna) Harms of Luverne, MN, Dell (Marge) Harms, Karen (Orvel) Dreesen, and Sandra (Beaver) Schweitzer, all of Ellsworth, MN; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Clara Kruger of George, IA; and many other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruno J. Harms; eleven siblings, Gert Egan, Martin Kruger, Heinie Kruger, Jack Kruger, Bill Kruger, Ray Kruger, Lucille Inman, Vernon Kruger, Elmer Knute Kruger, Marlene Kurtz and Le Roy Kruger.
