Carl Dewandel

Larchwood, IA Carl DeWandel, 79, passed away in his home on July 28, 2007 after a long battle with cancer. Carl was born September 26, 1927 on a farm near Hills, MN. His family moved to the farm near Larchwood when Carl was a boy and he has lived there since. Carl loved God, family, farming and baseball. Survivors include his children: Greg (Cindy) DeWandel, Kris DeWandel (fianc Dale Behring) of Larchwood, Joyce (Jack) Christensen of Elgin, MN, Scott (Shannon) DeWandel of Anchorage, Alaska, and Terri Ashbrook of Costa Mesa, CA; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and special friend Mary Lou Kern. Memorial services will be 1:30 PM, Tuesday, July 31st at the United Church of Christ in Larchwood. Family will be receiving friends and family Monday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 at Roste Funeral Home in Larchwood, Iowa.
