Paul B. Bunte

FUNERAL: Rock Rapids, Iowa Paul B. Bunte, age 79 of Rock Rapids, IA died Friday, Oct. 26, 2007 at the Fonda Nursing and Rehab Center in Fonda, IA. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, Oct. 29th at Peace Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids, IA, with Rev. George Clausen officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids. Visitation will be Monday Oct. 28th from 2 " 8 PM with the family present from 6 " 8 PM at the Roste Funeral Home of Rock Rapids. Paul B. Bunte, son of Henry and Lillian (Warner) Bunte Hagen, was born August 24th, 1928 near Rock Rapids. He grew up in the Lester area and attended country school. He graduated from Lester High School in 1946. He enjoyed singing in the Church and Hope Haven Choirs. He had brain surgery in 1949 and entered Hope Haven in 1986 where he spent 11 years. He entered Lyon Manor in 1997 and was transferred to Fonda Nursing home in 2002, where he died this past Friday, Oct. 26th at the age of 79. Paul was a lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids. He is survived by his brother, Donald and his wife Vivian Bunte of Rock Rapids; 2 nieces, Pamela Massa of Sturgis, SD, and Diane Vander Ploeg of Hospers, IA; and one nephew, Michael Bunte of Boscobel, WI. Paul was preceded in death by his Mother, Lillian; his father, Henry; and nephew David Bunte.
