Lester, IA Naomi Knobloch, age 82 of Lester, IA died of Friday, May 9, 2014 at Sanford Hospital in Rock Rapids, IA. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, May 12th at the Forster Community Center in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Burial will follow at the Apostolic Christian Faith Cemetery in Rock Rapids. Visitation will be Sunday, May 11th with the family present from 3:00 to 4:30 PM and again from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Forster Community Center in Rock Rapids. Naomi Knobloch was born August 6, 1931 in rural Alvord, Iowa to Emil and Freida (Doerr) Knobloch. She was raised on the family farm near Alvord and attended country school and two years of high school in Lester, Iowa. Naomi worked for 42 years at the Sioux Valley (Sanford) Hospital in Sioux Falls. She became a member of the Apostolic Christian Church on August 16, 1956. Naomi passed away after an extended battle with cancer at the Sanford Hospital in Rock Rapids on May 9, 2014. She is survived by 5 brothers and 2 sisters, Libbie Den Hartog of Shelley, Idaho, Gilbert Knobloch of Rock Rapids, Iowa, Silas (Edith) Knobloch of Lester, Iowa, Melvin (Wilma) Knobloch of Lester, Iowa, Clyde (Charlene) Knobloch of Mackinaw, Illinois, William (Eleanor) Knobloch of Tremont, Illinois, Esther (Dennis) Warner of Rock Rapids, Iowa. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Alfred; sisters-in-law, Vickie Knobloch, Joan Knobloch, Lucille Knobloch; brother-in-law, Vern Den Hartog.
