Sibley, IA Jerry "Fergie" Ferguson age 75 of Sibley, IA died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at the Sibley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sibley, IA. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley, IA with Rev. Barb Kopperud officiating. Burial will follow in the Holman Township Cemetery at Sibley. Visitation will be Monday, December 9th from 9:30 a.m. until time of service with the family present at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley. Jerry Lee Fergie Ferguson was born December 4, 1938, at Round Lake, MN, the son of Jeannie (Baker) and Theodore Ferguson. Jerry grew up and attended school at Round Lake, MN. After completing his education he started working at Campbells Soup in Worthington, MN. He was united in marriage to Joyce Grubaugh on September 27, 1974 at Sibley, IA. They made their home in Sibley. Jerry worked at Sibley Excavating and later at the Conveyer Company. Jerrys hobbies included; gardening, playing pool, watching football on TV and playing cards. He also enjoyed working or tinkering in his garage; helping other people, going places with his wife and visiting friends and relatives. In November of 2013, Jerry became a resident of the Sibley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where he died this past Wednesday evening, December 4, 2013, at the age of seventy-five. He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Sibley; his children, Rodney (Chritina) Reese of Miami, FL; Jodee Tousignant of Flower Mound, TX; Shelley (Danny) Clark of Garland, TX and Karen Reese of Ft. Worth, TX; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Marvin (Lois) Ferguson of Lake Wilson, MN; Denny (Ardyce) Ferguson of Fulda, MN; Ted Ferguson of St. Paul, MN and a sister, LaVonne (Murl) Hill of Sioux Falls, SD along with many nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Jeannie; three brothers, Larry, Derald and Richard; a sister-in-law, Norma Ferguson; and a brother-in-law, Bob Hersurd.
