Deanna Peterson

Sibley, Iowa Deanna Peterson age 48 of Sibley, IA passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Sanford Hospital in Rock Rapids, IA. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1st, 2011 at the Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley with Rev. Terry Simm officiating. Burial will follow at the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31st from 4:00 " 8:00 p.m. with family present at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley. Deanna Rae Peterson was born March 5, 1963 in Sioux City, IA to Tracy and Janet (Hagerdon) Cleveland. She graduated from Maple Valley High School in 1981. She was united in marriage on June 7th, 1985 to Steven Ray Peterson in Rodney, IA. Deanna was employed with the Sudenga Industries near George, IA and worked in assembly. Earlier she had worked with Shortys Landscaping, Ace Hardware and Dynos Gas Station. Deanna enjoyed crafting, riding motorcycle, watching science fiction movies visiting on the deck and had a great love for animals. But mostly, Deanna loved her family. She was a loving wife and mother and sister and daughter and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 26 years; sons, Tracy Lee Peterson and Wyatt Ramond Peterson, all of Sibley; mother, Janet (Brian) Bennett of Whiting, IA; brother, Tony (Kathy) Cleveland of Exira, IA; sister, Marlo Cleveland of Hornick, IA; mother-in-law, Helen Peterson of Danbury, IA; and many nieces and nephews and cousins and friends. Deanna was preceded in death by her father, Tracy Cleveland; and father-in-law, Charles Peterson.
