Sibley, IA Harold Buchman, age 94of Sibley, died Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Country View Manor in Sibley, Iowa. Private family graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 7, 2011 at the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley, with Reverend Charles Gilbert officiating. Harold Grant Buchman was born on March 22, 1916, in Sibley, IA. He was the youngest child of Ulysses Grant Buchman and Mable (Rinus) Buchman. He was educated and lived his entire life in Sibley, IA. Harold was married to Anna Wietzema of Little Rock, IA, on October 19, 1938, in Brewster, MN. They had been married for 67 years at the time of Annas death in 2005. They were life members of the United Methodist Church in Sibley, IA. Harold was employed independently as a digger and later worked for Sibley Egg and Poulty until his retirement. Harold and Annas retirement was enjoyed at Lake Shetch, where they were the first permanent campers at Kosaks on Lake Shetch, now known as Shiers. Buck and Annas Cove has been named in their honor. Their marriage was blessed with one son, Donald (Rochelle) Buchman of Sibley, IA; three grandchildren, Kelly Buchman of Independence, MO, Heidi Cozart of Durham, NC and Chad Buchman of Durham, NC; and one great grandson, Philip Buchman of Independence, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna; seven brothers, Vernon, Floyd, Clyde, Raymond, Charlie, Chancy and Chet; and one sister, Dorothy Richardson.
