Kathleen Dochnahl

GEORGE, IA Kathleen Dochnahl, age 76 of George, IA, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Center in George, IA. Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m. Monday May 12th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in George, IA with Rev. Tony Metz, officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Graceland Cemetery at Madison, SD. Fellowship will follow the memorial service on Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Kathleen Dochnahl was born on November 18, 1931, the daughter of Dewey and Margaret (Galloway) Adair in Chicago, IL. She grew up in the Chicagoland area and graduated from Proviso High School in Maywood, IL. In 1950, she married Victor Schnurstein in Chicago, and they where married for six years. On July 15, 1964, Kathleen was united in marriage to Gene Dochnahl in Maywood, IL. The couple later moved to George, Iowa, where she worked as a cook at the Good Samaritan Center for twenty-five years. Kathleen was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in George. She was also a member of the George VFW. Kathleen is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Gene Dochnahl of George; four children: Michael (wife Susan) Schnurstein of Aurora, CO, Kathy Graack of Sioux Falls, SD, Robert (wife Renee) Schnurstein of Worthington, MN and Geffrey Dochnahl of George; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two brothers: Dr. John Adair of Modesto, CA and Robert Adair of Versailles, MO; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Margaret Adair.
