NOTICE: Steen, MN Brian Lee Boeve, age 51 of Beaver Creek, MN formerly of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away of natural causes Saturday, October 16, 2010 at his residence in Beaver Creek, MN. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, October 21, 2010 at The Reformed Church of Steen in Steen, MN, with Rev. Dan Kuik officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery, rural Steen. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20th from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, with family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Hills. Brian was born on February 1, 1959. He grew up on a farm near Steen, MN. During his high school years at Hills Beaver Creek, Brian played football. He graduated from High School in 1977. He was married from 1979 to 1996 to Jeanne Stoakes of Sioux Falls, SD. He graduated from Mankato Area Technical Vocational Institute with a computer degree. Brian spent time during college as a student assistant and taught adult educational courses while working full time in Minnesota. Brian worked full time as a data analyst for Cap Gemini, Wells Fargo, and Citibank. Brian had various leisure activities. He was involved in weekly bible study. He also enjoyed volunteering with KNWC radio, the Lifelight Festival, and at the Washington Pavilion. Brian enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing, and spending time in lake and forested areas like Door County, WI. Being a Minnesota sports fan, he took in Twins baseball and Vikings football whenever possible. He shared his life with his children; daughter, Sara (David) Blom and their daughter Anastasia; daughter, Melissa (Jered) Hight and their son, Gabriel all of Sioux Falls, SD; and son, Daniel Boeve of Rockville, MD; his mother, Melba Boeve of Steen, MN; sisters, Cheryl (Ron) Hup of Hills, MN; Carla (Joel) Overlander of Circle Pines, MN; and Julie (John) Springman of Forest Lake, MN. He was preceded in death by, his father, John Boeve and daughter Mari Beth Boeve. In lieu of flowers, family wishes memorials, to be designated at a later time, and may be sent to Melba Boeve of Steen, MN.
