FUNERAL NOTICE: Fort. Dodge, IA formerly of Sibley, IA Lavonne J. Buchman, age 72 of Fort. Dodge, IA formerly of Sibley, IA died Friday, August 24, 2007 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort. Dodge. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Walton-Roste Funeral Home of Sibley with Rev. Terry Simm, officiating. Burial will follow in the Holman Township Cemetery at Sibley. Visitation will be on Tuesday one hour prior to services. Lavonne J. Buchman was born December 4, 1934 at Sibley, IA the daughter of Clyde and Anna Jean (Wiertzma) Buchman. Lavonne grew up in Sibley where she attended school. She started working in a nursing home in Ocheyedan and later moved to Fort Dodge, IA. She made her home in Sibley, Sheldon, Fort Dodge and Webster City, IA. During her life she enjoyed embroidering, crocheting and needle work. She also loved to go fishing at Spirit Lake, IA. This past Friday evening, August 24, 2007, Lavonne died at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge at the age of seventy-two. She is survived by her two siblings, one brother, Duane Buchman of Fort Dodge, IA and one sister, Jane and her husband, Gerald Nagel of Hartley, IA; along with many uncles and aunts, cousins, neices and nephews. Lavonne was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Anna Jean; two brothers, Robert and Donald Buchman; one sister, Marlys Brandt; one sister-in-law, Brenda Buchman and one brother-in-law, Herb Brandt.
