Glenn Morris Wolter

DEATH NOTICE: SIBLEY, IOWA Glenn Wolter, age 70 of Sioux City, Iowa died Monday, October 16, 2006, at Hallmark Care Center in Sioux City, IA. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 19th, at the Walton-Roste Funeral Home of Sibley with Reverend Gary Van Heukelom officiating. Burial will follow in the Holman Township Cemetery of Sibley. Visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 6-8 P.M., on Wednesday, October 18th, at the Walton-Roste Funeral Home of Sibley. Glenn Morris Wolter was born on November 10, 1935, in Sibley, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Nadine (Morris) Wolter. He attended country school in the Allendorf area and then high school in Sibley. When Glenn completed school he drove truck and farmed with his family. He later attended NITC Welding School and then went to work for Sudenga and later Lundell Manufacturing. He moved to Sioux City and worked for Good Will where he met his wife. On September 6, 1986, Glenn married Cheryl Olson in Ocheyedan, IA. Glenn enjoyed listening to classic old time country music, watching western movies and reading books about tractors and farming. Glenn is survived by his wife of twenty years, Cheryl Wolter of Sioux City, IA; three siblings: Gary (wife Jessa) Wolter of Ocheyedan, IA, LaVon (husband LeRoy) Ball of Greeley, CO and LaRene (husband Jerry) Hesebeck of Harris, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews: Pat and Greg Redinius.
