Ellsworth, MN Henry Walters, age 71 of Ellsworth, MN died unexpectedly at his home, Tuesday, December 12, 2006 in Ellsworth, MN. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Roste Funeral Home of Rock Rapids with Pastor Steve May, officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Reformed Cemetery at rural Ellsworth, MN. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Roste Funeral Home of Rock Rapids. Henry Walters was born March 10, 1935, at Ash Creek, MN the son of John and Nellie (Timmerman) Walters. Henry grew up and attended country school at Ash Creek. After his education he worked for a tree service and also for Pettengills. Henry served his country and upon his honorable discharge he returned home. He was united in marriage to Bernice Huisman on August 28, 1959 at the Bethel Reformed Church Parsonage. They made their home in Worthington, MN. During his life he worked at various places. He owned a restaurant in Larchwood for a short time. He also drove truck for D&H Company and pulled trailer houses to Canada for Bedford trucking. Henry enjoyed hunting and fishing during his spare time. As his health declined he was unable to work and was forced to retire. Ten years ago he moved to Ellsworth, MN. This past Tuesday, December 12, 2006, Henry died unexpectedly at his home in Ellsworth. He is survived by his brother, Nels Walters and his wife, Lila of Rock Rapids, one sister, Stella Schneider and her husband, Quint of Granada Hills, CA; nephew, Steve Walters of Rock Rapids and niece, Sharon Schneiderman her husband, Brad of Inwood, IA; along with two great nephews, Brenan and Ryan. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nellie; and two brothers, John and Freddie.
