George, Iowa Magali F. Kannegieter, age 23 of Sibley, IA died unexpectedly Thursday, April 30, 2009, at her home in Sibley. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 4th at Zoar Presbyterian Church of George with Rev. Dale Lint, officiating. Burial will follow in the Zoar Presbyterian Cemetery at George. Visitation will be Sunday, May 3rd from 2:00-8:00 with the family receiving friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of George. Magali Florence Kannegieter was born February 19, 1986, at Stuttgart, Germany the daughter of Bruce Kannegieter and Dawn (Johnson) Reinhard. Magali attended George Little Rock High School, graduating in 2005. After graduation she continued her education at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon where she earned a L.P.N degree. She was employed at Sibley Nursing and Rehab in Sibley along with Lyon Manor Nursing and Rehab in Rock Rapids. She enjoyed working at the nursing homes and caring for the elderly. Her family was very important to her. She loved her friends, family and her grandmother very much. She enjoyed traveling and always gave a helping hand to anyone in need. Her spirit was hard working and caring, always putting others before herself. She is survived by her father, Bruce Kannegieter of George, IA; her mother, Dawn Reinhard of Roana, TX; her brother, Shawn Kannegieter of Corsicana, TX; paternal grandmother, Marjorie Kannegieter of Little Rock, IA; maternal grandparents, Arlene (Larry) Swinnerton of Louisburg, KS; along with many uncles, aunts and cousins. Magali was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jr. Kannegieter; and aunt, Denice Kannegieter.
