George, IA Willard Klingenberg, age 62 of Terril, IA formerly of George, Iowa died Monday, December 1, 2014 at his home near Terril. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 6, 2014 at Zoar Presbyterian Church of George, IA with Rev. Dale Lint officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 at Zoar Presbyterian Church of George, IA. Willard Klingenberg was born July 26, 1952 in Sibley, IA to Claus and Alma (Bowen) Klingenberg. He was raised in the George area and graduated from George High School. Willard went on to trade school and graduated with certificates in MIG and TIG welding from North West Iowa Community College. On September 24, 1988 Willard married Jeannine Kennedy. To this union three children were born, Joshua, Tamara and Felicia. He loved his children very much. Willard worked in the construction industry most of his life and most recently was working with a concrete crew and driving cement. In his spare time Willard loved to draw and paint. He was an amazing artist. He also liked to fish and greatly enjoyed being out in search of the big one'. Also just recently, he bought a few cattle and was looking forward to raising and taking care of them. Willard enjoyed lifting weights to stay in shape. This past Monday, Willard passed away at his home near Terril, IA at the age of 62. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his children, Joshua Klingenberg of Dubuque, IA; Tamara (Justin) Koontz of Maquoketa, IA; and Felicia Klingenberg of Bourbonnais, IL; special friend, Nola Nelson of Terril, IA; siblings, Sheryl (Arvid) Colby of Granada, MN, Lavanda (Madonna) Klingenberg of Armstrong, IA, Margaret (Robert) Schwab of George, IA, Doug (Dona) Klingenberg of George, IA, Ivan Klingenberg (special friend Lois Williams) of Armstrong, IA, Arlen (Kim) Klingenberg of Garretson, SD, Thelma (Tim) Yager of Bigelow, MN, Brenda (Daryl) Van Oort of George, IA, and Robert (Josie) Klingenberg of George, IA; and many other extended family. Willard was preceded in death by his parents Claus and Alma; brother, David and son-in-law, James Fettes.
