Lester, IA Paul Ageson, age 64 of Lester, IA died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 29th with family receiving friends from 1:00 to 3:00PM and again 5:00 to 7:00PM at Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids. A Private family service will be held at a later date. Harold "Paul" Ageson was born April 27, 1951 son of Harold and Vivian (Oliver) Ageson at Rock Rapids, IA. Paul lived his whole life in Lester. He went to school in Lester and West Lyon. Paul's career was truck driving. He started with his Dad and after buying his own truck he began working for his brother, Robert. Then after selling the truck he worked for different local truck companies. In 1987, he decided he needed to be home with his boys. He then worked for his dad in the gravel business. In 1990, he bought equipment from his dad to start his current business of 25 years. Paul enjoyed his grandkids, football, NASCAR, hunting and fishing. His love of nature lead him to build his own Nature Preserve. His latest adventure was restoring 1960s Honda motorcycles which developed into a business for Jared. Paul, being proud of Lester, with his friend Jeff Wilke, started the A&W Car Show. This year will be the 15 Annual car show. Proceeds from the car show have been donated for the betterment of Lester. Paul is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Jeremy(Kristi) of Lester, IA and Jared (LaToya) of Alvord, IA; and two step-daughters, Wendy (Greg) Pigman of Beresford, SD and Christa Lee of Lester, IA; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one Brother Robert (Nelva) Ageson; two sisters, Sharon (Pat) Carolan, and Cheryl (Roger) Monen.; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Harold and Vivian Ageson; grandparents, Oscar and Matilda Ageson, John and Mary Oliver.
